Warehouse Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our Operations team. This role is responsible for supporting the efficient day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored and dispatched accurately while maintaining high standards of stock control, housekeeping and health & safety.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Based in Esher
• c£25,000
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours a day that must be worked between 8am – 6pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and book in incoming deliveries using the warehouse management or ERP system.
• Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately for dispatch.
• Process incoming and outgoing stock transactions, ensuring inventory records remain accurate.
• Carry out regular stock checks and assist with inventory control and cycle counting activities.
• Store materials safely and efficiently, ensuring the warehouse remains organised and accessible.
• Load and unload deliveries using appropriate equipment where authorised and trained.
• Operate warehouse equipment and handling tools in accordance with company procedures and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse and storage areas.
• Work closely with colleagues across Operations to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
• Assist with other warehouse or operational duties as required to support the business.

Skills & Experience

• Previous warehouse, logistics or stores experience.
• Good understanding of warehouse operations and stock control procedures.
• Experience using warehouse management or ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous).
• Good level of written and spoken English.
• Basic IT skills.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of health & safety procedures within a warehouse environment.

Desirable

• GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
• Forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred but not essential).
