Bookkeeper / Finance Manager
Salary: £33,000–£38,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–4:00pm
Holiday: 20 days annual leave + bank holidays
Location: Remote, with occasional office-based meetings
About the Role
Our client is looking for an experienced and confident Bookkeeper / Finance Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping and finance function across the business.
This is a predominantly remote role, with some office-based meetings required from time to time. You will play an important role in keeping the accounts accurate, organised and fully up to date, while taking responsibility for a wide range of routine finance and compliance activities.
The successful candidate will be confident using Xero, have a strong understanding of VAT and CIS, and ideally have experience working with contractors and businesses operating within the construction sector.
A key part of the role will be taking more of the routine finance work away from the external accountant, helping to improve efficiency and potentially reduce accountancy costs. You will also act as the main point of contact with the external accountant where appropriate.
