Office Assistant

Working alongside the Customer Experience Teams to provide a high-quality service to both internal and external customers. Through first- hand experience of delivering customer facing services and an opportunity to complete a qualification you will gain a broad knowledge of housing management services.

Job Description:

• Respond to all resident contact in line with our Customer Offer
• Provide administrative assistance for all three teams
• Assist with large mail outs
• Act as an ambassador for by building and maintaining positive relationships with all residents and stakeholders
• Deliver an effective and appropriate service to all residents fairly and without discrimination
• Maintain accurate record keeping
• Assist with any allocated projects
• Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve services
• Attend meetings and training courses as required
• To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required in line with the level of responsibility of the post and to meet the changing needs of the organisation
• Contribute positively towards the organization’s corporate risk management and to mitigate against risks to the business; to be mindful of the level of risk inherent
• Manage operational risk in relation to the duties

Person Specification:

• Qualifications at GCSE level, BTEC, GNVQ Intermediate, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
• Evidenced experience of working in a customer facing role
• Experience of handling challenging customers and situations in a compassionate and sensitive manner
• Excellent IT skills, including use of Word and Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent understanding of written and spoken English
• Ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads
• A flexible approach to work with a ‘can do’ attitude
