Product Manager

Reporting to the Director of Marketing

Overall Objective;
The role of the Product Manager is to manage and co-ordinate the planning and delivery of goods into the company and out through the various sales channels.
Working in association with external suppliers and the internal sales, marketing, finance and operations functions, the Product Manager will identify, prioritise and communicate the key product features and benefits to ensure achievement of the group’s revenue and profit objectives.

Main Responsibilities;
Work with Sales and Marketing to identify and agree new product ranges
To develop knowledge and expertise in the selected range and competitors products and become a product champion for the group
To develop and deliver regular product timeline and activity plans
To manage the commercial relationships with suppliers to deliver the products within agreed cost and time parameters
To monitor performance against agreed measures, provide reports as required

Key Requirements;
2 – 3 years experience in a similar role
Experience in the Electrical / Telecoms industry
Proactive in suggested range
Identify fast and slow moving lines
Identify opportunities
Meet regularly with vendors and suppliers to ensure full knowledge is achieved
Communicate to customers effectively
Keep the sales team briefed and up to date on product ranges and pricing
Offering support to other departments as and when necessary
Excellent written and verbal skills
Develop sales tools and collateral
Brief the press and annalists
Develop core positioning and messaging the product
To work within and across teams to achieve best working practices and efficiency
Must be available to travel when required

Additional Information:
£25,000 - £28,000
Car Allowance
9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
Based in Chessington
