Overall Objective:
To provide a high quality, professional generalist HR Advisory service
Job Description:
Own various HR project work through to completion.
Assist managers in the recruitment of quality staff including building and maintaining relationships with agencies, screening candidates, conducting telephone & first stage face to face interviews etc
Prepare accurate and timely payroll information
Be the first point of contact for Management queries such as employee relations and absence management etc
Create and implement new policies including management training sessions where necessary
Conduct Meetings of Concern with Management and employee’s, at appropriate intervals as dictated in the handbook
Advise on employment law issues such as disciplinary and grievance; conduct investigations, meetings and apply sanctions where necessary
Attend conferences and seminars to broaden own knowledge and share best practice with the team
Own Mentor project for the UK and Europe
Maintain the handbook
Process and advise on full maternity cycle including KIT days and flexible working requests
Pursue CPD opportunities wherever possible
Keep updated with legislation and actively seek to improve processes/implement changes
Design and create presentations to be used at board level on new HR Initiatives/policies etc
Support the day to day activities of HR Administrator E.g. provision of work, quality assurance, first line support etc
Perform reports as and when required E.g. Board report, headcount
Carry out HR induction presentations to new employees with Training and Development Manager
Travel to other locations for meetings as and when required.
